While studying the real estate market in Thurston County, David discovered a need for moderately priced custom construction and upscale remodels.  He launched a new business that has successfully built custom homes, duplexes and commercial buildings in every price range from $50,000 - $650,000.  

David´s first duplexes in Tumwater set a record high for selling price and a record rental income for the investors who purchased the units.  All three of his first duplexes were sold before construction was completed.  David accepts a limited number of new projects each year to assure his own personal attention to detail applied to every aspect of a new project.

2005 UPDATE


In 2005, Lighthouse Construction continued its aggressive growth plan while building homes that offered exceptional value for their owners. Positioned as a hybrid builder, the company’s President, David Kettel, customizes spec floor plans to maximize square footage and designs features that make his homes easy to maintain as well as beautiful.

Clients who are seeking a new home, or a custom builder, will find working with Dave Kettel’s team a pleasant experience. Dave supervises all planning sessions to develop a set of building plans and establish a site plan that optimizes each lot’s features.

His Construction Supervisor, Stacy Crain, has more than twenty years building experience. Stacy manages the on site sub-contractors and supervises the custom trim work including tile and granite installation, custom mill work and landscaping.
